Our destination for this trip is South America and Antartica – Jan 29-Feb 20, 2024
We will cruise with Holland America Lines from Buenos Aires, Argentina, south along the eastern coast of South America. We will stop along the way to visit coastal communities, Penguin rookeries, and see the Falkland Islands. We will continue south to Antarctica, where we will cruise for four days among the icebergs – and hopefully lots of penguins, whales, and other wildlife.
Our ship will turn north to cross the Drake Passage – the “Drake Shake” or the “Drake Lake” depending on the weather, then sail north along the west coast until we reach San Antonio, Chile. We will pass through Glacier Alley, Beagle Channel, and the Strait of Magellan, past glaciers and through the Chilean Fjords.
